Domani Food Review.

Finally, I had time to actually go visit town. It has been awhile as I was feeling all lazy these few weeks. Anyway, I ate at this very nice restaurant yesterday and some of you saw the pictures on Instagram and FB and got curious.  Thus, I just thought that I should totally share the place with you guys 🙂
 So here’s a post!

Yesterday, I was shopping around Takashimaya when my ex-colleagues recommended me to this restaurant at the basement of Taka called Domani. Being a great fan of cream pastas, I just had to you know, taste it for myself to judge whether their food is really THAT fantastic since my friend recommended so.
And so I did.
.

Wooden Table kind of setting 🙂 Quite warm and cozy.

Upon walking in, there’ll be very polite waitresses serving you and you’ll be brought to the table. I prefer the window seats as I like people-watching. During this festive period, Domani is offering a very good deal. You’re able to choose one soup, one spaghetti and one side all for just $26. Although its considered quite expensive for a regular meal but we’re at Orchard, what to expect?

Waiting for the food… Patiently…

And here’s what we ordered!
 First up – Mushroom soup.
Call me “sua-gu” but I haven’t tasted an authentic bowl of mushroom soup before so I must say that this is like fabulous, especially for those of you who LOVES the taste of mushroom. The texture of this soup is just nice, not too diluted or too milky. However, the mushroom taste is somewhat too much for me cause I don’t exactly fancy them but this has got to be what I would qualify as authentic-tasting!
AND.

TADAA..

My Main!

My spaghetti is the cream pasta with mushrooms and the side I ordered it with is called Mushroom Baked Cheese Chicken. Looks good ya?

Just look at the cheese! I think that they really managed the baking time well as the cheese not only looks awesome but tastes awesome too!
As the cheese is baked along with the mushroom, the cheese actually consisted of the mushroom’s natural fragrant taste as well as the not-too-salty/milky- cheese 🙂 Melts in your mouth. *slurps*
Pasta wise, the texture of the noodles is just right. Though so, I don’t really like the cream taste as it was a tad too milky. I wasn’t able to finish off all the pasta. Definitely tasted others that were better. Kinda disappointed.
Those above was my meal. My friend was more adventurous and she ordered the below..
.
.
.
Spaghetti in tomato sauce with sausages. The side she chose was a cheese-baked LOBSTER.

LOBSTER

LOBSTER!

I just did a simple tasting of the dish so Im not gonna describe too much..  Well, the spaghetti was flavorful and the sausages were yummy! As for the lobster, the cheese was nice but just you know, for myself, I prefer the Japanese kind where they had the mayo and fish roe on top. In my personal opinion, that cream taste complimented the lobsters’s fresh sweet taste better than cheese.
Another side served along would be these sliced potatoes and I REALLY LOVE THEM. They taste super delicious and healthy.. Soaked in spices and some sauce! Best potatoes sides tasted!

Tasting the pasta…
